This antique Apothecary jars stand 17 in tall and is 7 in wide. It is hand-blown with hand-ground edges. You can see the punt mark at the bottom where the glass was twisted off!
The lid does have a chip on the top of one corner please see photos. There are no chips on the actual jar itself.
I picked these Apothecary jars up from a woman who rescued them out of a trash bin back in the 50s when she worked at the Smithsonian and they were modernizing their containers. Her story was she thought it was an abomination to throw these specimen jars away when they were works of art themselves so she rescued them and put them in her basement where I found them almost 50 years later.
This listing is only for the single extraordinary large jar not the grouping. We have included that for scale.
